Nubian Letters 13

This was a very special day indeed… The Institute of Archaeology, History, Cultural and Religious Studies at the University of Bergen honored professor emeritus Sean O’ Fahey for his 42 (!) years of service at the University, the Department of History, the Center for Middle-Eastern and Islamic Studies, Sudan and Darfur Studies, and many other things that the selected participants of the venue reminded us of earlier this afternoon. The crowning moment of the ceremony was when Sean signed the contract with the University Library according to which his collection has now officially passed to the University of Bergen!

Undoubtedly, there will be more occasions in the future to present the continuation of work with this amazing collection!
