The title of today’s entry is tricky, for north of Aswan is the entire Egyptian Nile Valley. It is Cairo too, from where I write now. But the title can also just describe images of Aswan itself, as can be seen when one walks away from the dam, the antiquities, and the tourist heartbeat of the town…

Great pix – though I’ve mixed feelings about the lighting-up of Qubbet al-Hawa at night (as with other tourist sites in egypt…). Take it your’re on your way back down south? Take care!
Thanks for that!
The lighting of monuments and entire sites is a tricky topic indeed.
In fact, this time I will not go to Sudan. Soon back to our base in Bergen!
